Pros
I worked with some really cool people and made good friends that I've kept long after my departure. There are some nice perks in the NY office, but it's mostly fluff. I also learned some red flags to look for when interviewing with other companies.
Cons
They lay people off left and right. I watched them hire like 300 people in Q1 and Q2 2022 then layoff hundreds of people (in three separate rounds) over the course of the next year when their completely unrealistic growth projections didn't pan out. They seem to have an "over hire then cut who we don't need later" mentality. No stability in processes, everything is overly complicated, constantly making changes then undoing them three months later when they don't work because they didn't plan them properly. They love to hand out "solutions" and tools to improve things, but don't ever bother to ask the actual end users if they would actually work or are even needed. An extreme amount of micromanagement from the CEO and a feeling that the C-Suite doesn't trust anyone below them. There are some good managers between the individual contributors and C-Level, but their hands are usually tied when it comes to actually improving things. The culture, in general, is giving toxic vibes unless your drink the Kool-Aid and act like SW is god's gift to B2B businesses.
