Pros
SimplePractice is a place for people who enjoy being challenged. There are complex problems that require creative solutions and everyone on the team has a chance to be the hero. There's plenty of room for you to show what you're capable of and everyone will notice it. The advantage or working in such a small team is that at any given point, everyone from the CEO to the CTO can see who's doing their part and who isn't. You're expected to be resourceful but there's always support to help you get where you need to be. The management team does their best to encourage the rest of the team to share their ideas and they are willing to implement changes that will make everyone's life easier. They are always trying to improve the company's culture with team dinners, happy hours, and other team activities. They are willing to invest in their employees by sending them to conferences that will forward their skills. The CEO is constantly checking with the team to make sure everyone is doing ok and to see if there's anything that can be improved not only work-wise but on a personal level as well. He really seems to care about his employees. The office space is open and very hip. There's always plenty of snacks and beer. Employees get valet service so they don't have to worry about parking. I don't know that this is a positive or a negative but I think you need to know: Priorities can change at a moment's notice - This should be expected since this is still a small company but if you're not ready for that pace, it can take you by surprise. You get the hang of it and learn to adapt (if you're a weirdo like me, you may even like it).
Cons
- All of the "Cons" in this company boil down to Communication - The communication between teams could be better. Management has done a very good job on improving on this area and I can see that they're always working on making it better but we can always improve.
