The company and its leadership act like they are an ultra-advanced, tech-savvy unicorn that has everything figured out. This is not the case. The department I worked in was worse than a call center. There was heavy micromanagement and ridiculous time tracking, reminiscent of 1990s corporate culture. : Old-school 9-hour clock-in policies. I want to note that this seemed specific to the department I worked in and may not reflect every team. There are no salary hikes at all. The company has been struggling financially for years, failing to turn a profit, and continues to carry out mass layoffs every quarter. Because of the failing business and constant layoffs, upper management is scared. They squeeze their direct reports with unnecessary pressure, who in turn squeeze the lower-level employees. It's a vicious cycle of stress over absolutely nothing. Avoid this company if you prefer to work somewhere that doesn’t pretend to be Google while operating like a failing sweatshop. Go for it only if you are getting a 50%, 100%, or higher salary hike, or if this is your only option.
