Pros
You do get to meet some great people, a couple of good partner level people there, unfortunately some great ones left in the London and SF offices which has damaged morale even further. Some have been there too long and have managed to fail upwards - frequently displacing better suited, more cohesive reports as a fail safe to keep them in well paid employment. Potential to move around and find a home elsewhere within the company, but beware things change quickly at SoftBank. The ability to learn and push career development courses is there. If this is your focus, start the process on day one or as soon as practical.
Cons
Terrible culture - fear and loathing is a common trait in exit interviews. Counter productive HR function, focus is on the senior managers status quo not the more junior employees. Obvious strategy. Senior managers more concerned about self survival than performance/well being of team Zero DEI/POC/senior women at the firm - all have been laid off/managed out in past 5 years. These have been top performers. No consistency and no care for non revenue generated teams. Constant change in strategy and focus, engineered by Japan and usually rolled out in chaotic fashion across offices despite nuances.
