Pros

- The pay and bonuses are great. - Benefits are pretty good. - 23 Days PTO. - Automatic 10% 401k contribution, 100% vested from day 1. - Stock options. - Casual dress allowed.

Cons

- Promotions are based on your tenure with the company and have nothing to do with any other kind of merit. - Management is only interested in bringing in contracts without regard to timelines and feasibility thus leading to overpromising and under-delivering. There is no vision. - Management withholds information from employees regarding current and future work/contracts. - No room for career growth. You are expected to do as you are told and where you are told to do it. - Feedback comes from the top down. There are no peer evaluations, nor is there a way to provide upward feedback. - Lackadaisical workforce. People only stay here to collect fat paychecks. - No telecommuting. - Technology company that doesn't invest in any technology. Employees have to purchase their own monitors if they want a dual monitor set up, and may also have to purchase the video card to support it. - Company provides software engineers with old desktops but managers with nice laptops.

Pros

-One of the best 401(k) deals not matching but giving 8% -Don't have to worry about working past 5 pm / easy to separate work and life and plan vacations, etc -Though based on project, most managers are understanding of schedules and are flexible - Higher managers are approachable though I am not sure if they are paying attention to what the individual engineer has to say. -Own office -Frequent Bonuses. A con is that no one knows what these bonuses are based off of. -Most of the people you work with are very intelligent and helpful.

Cons

- No work from home policy, though some middle managers will work from home. You will have a manager tell you you cannot work from home when its snowing but that same manager will send an email saying "I am working from home today because it is snowing / someone is sick. You can get a hold of me via email or on my cell" - Engineers are not given freedom to install new software without getting permission from IT. This can make your project more difficult when your system does not have the adequate tools to complete a job but you must wait for someone to install new software / adjust a setting on your computer since you do not have the permission. - Projects are not exciting
