      Pros

      I worked at Solvay 27 years and enjoyed its unique corporate culture. Was a matricial organisation, Very competent and dedicated staff members for whom Solvay was like a family. Trust, team work, commitment, respect. Of course it was a bit slow in decision making but never made mistakes. A leader in all its businesses. Very international. Family owned and managed, so long term oriented. Life careers with lot of development opportunities.

      Cons

      With the acquisition of Rhodia (with the proceeds of the sale of the Pharma division), we have attended a full reverse take-over. Management and culture are now French. Short term and performance oriented. Opportunistic for careers (external hiring preferred).

      I have no pros that I can think of

      Cons

      I was actually let go in 2019. It would not let me scroll in the drop down for the year. I was let go after returning from short term disability. The only time I ever was on short term disability in 11 years. My lawyer told me I could sue and would more than likely win. I chose not to.
