Pros
In the past six months, the company has done a great job of finding new talent that can bring in their skills and elevate teams. While it truly is a place where you are expected to work hard, I don't feel like those are unrealistic expectations. Hard work is expected when you're trying to launch something. They do a great job of cross office integration so you feel like you get to know people from other offices and other teams. I have met some truly fantastic people - both hard workers and people I truly do care about. Having those people when times do get rough or super busy is imperative. I think the amount of opportunities to raise your hand is immense and I've never worked somewhere I felt like I could choose to make even more of a difference than just my job. I can see how some people would feel pressure to be the person raising their hand to get noticed, but I haven't felt that pressure at all. All in all, good hard work at Spreetail is what is expected of everyone and I am totally on board with that. The benefits are constantly evaluated so I appreciate that they continue to evolve as the employee population changes. I have worked plenty of places with "unlimited PTO" and I know some people have said they work too hard to get to take advantage of this. I see it as a reward for hard work so find the time and make it happen.
Cons
There is a heavy push for internal growth and while I appreciate that, I am always aware that the company should look at external people who could elevate us as a company. I think some people feel more frustration with this than I do, but I just hope the company continues to push for the best people in the roles. As this has evolved with growth, I think the diversity of the organization as a whole has grown with it which is always a positive.
