Honestly, it's hard to know where to start here. TLDR: There are so many issues with this company I can't imagine how they can be resolved at this point as the core problems are poor management and communication right from the very top. Chaotic strategy and execution, mismanagement of expectations with investors and unrealistic expectations falling on to front line sales, customer success, and sales engineers. Avoid this company at all costs. In full: - Management does not listen to feedback from employees regarding market challenges, or even multiple reports of bullying. Taking too long to react to reports on these issues created long-term damage to the culture, morale, and revenue generation for the company, especially in certain EMEA territories. -Poorly thought-through strategy and execution, and mismanaged expectations with investors has ultimately led to shifting of responsibility downstream and increasing targets for teams who have no hope of realistically meeting expectations. - Product is a 'nice to have' not a 'must have' for customers - The best performing sales reps in EMEA take 3 or 4 years to just hit their target - Considering the solution Staffbase sells is for communication, transparency and employee engagement, Staffbase has done an incredible job of showing exactly how badly things can go when you don't create a culture of active listening and engagement. - Transparency in communication (such as that around recent layoffs) has been terrible with little to no acknowledgment from senior management for their mistakes, such as bad acquisition decisions being a contributing factor that led to a poor financial situation for the company.
