Pros

Lots of overtime - Usually comes with Work From Home. I have experienced that if management views you taking too much overtime, that you are exploiting the company as you are now working from home too much. Fill daily caloric needs from lunch and snacks. No possible way to get fired, even if you cost the company tens of thousands in legal fees. You will learn numerous communication skills navigating the work environment from the Indian work culture and management that comes along with it. If you'd like to join an Indian call center in Australia, Superloop offers that - took down Australian Support on website. No meeting rooms are soundproof - can listen to all meetings, even confidential ones.

Cons

Unable to escalate any issues to HR or upper management as they are all deep friends with each other, even from executive level downwards. Discrimination toward white ethnicity when hiring for over a year. Difficulty communicating with Australian Staff in English - English test was required to be completed post-hiring for all employees. Nepotism is rampant in the company, numerous complaints to HR with clear evidence shown, no action taken on numerous occasions. No one except bottom level employees actually do the tasks required, management take all credit. Previous Operations Managers performance directly impacted offshoring of the contact centre and has numerous HR complaints, however provided with a promotion and hefty pay increase. Raises have never been performance based and are of a fixed value, however management illegally advises you to refrain from speaking with colleagues about pay. Frequently expected to do additional work outside of your job description without title change or pay increase. Consistently promises promotions, pay increases and better work environments, however never delivers.

Pros

Hours are nice, holidays off

Cons

Seems like a very chill place to work but when they constantly stressed during the interview that it's pretty chill and everyone is nice, I should've seen the red flags. The owner is probably the most nit picky person I've ever met in my life and could find a thousand things you're doing wrong or that irritate her. There's blatant favoritism by upper management towards certain employees. They would constantly find things I was doing and berate me for it even though everyone else was doing it.

Pros

Provides stock annually, every employee gets a thousand shares. And like with many companies, some smaller teams are great to work for and can get you a ton of experience that you could otherwise not get easily in the Sri Lankan job market. Additionally, the actual Australian operation is going well and is managed well from what I can see, it's a rather bit unfortunate that the Sri Lankan operation isn't managed as well.

Cons

Superloop is ultimately a boring telco similar to dialog at the end of the day, don't expect anything too different just because its an australian telco. They try to brand the Colombo operation as a tech company but that's a terrible joke. The work hours are difficult and you don't get either australian or sri lankan holidays, and apparently that comes with no added salary either, make of that what you will. Also salary increments are limited to a maximum of five percent annually and you must be in office three days a week (else you are not eligible for annual salary increments). Also It's not a fancy office setup either, it looks and feels like a call center, Basically we’re packed in here like commuters on a rush-hour train. There's also a good chance the Sri Lankan operation will cease to exist in the next 5 years and the operation will be moved to the recently opened Philippines branch.
