Pros
Everyone here is incredibly smart. The company is constantly developing new products and new releases to stay ahead in the industry. Taboola is also backed by huge investors while making money on its own, meaning that the company definitely has a future and is here to stay. It's very competitive within the industry. The company culture is definitely fun too, free lunch, a lot of happy hours, always someone playing ping pong or foosball at lunch, people are really friendly. We've recently started quarterly calls to update all employees on what the company has planned so that new level of transparency is going to be great too. *summary: co-workers are great, company has a very bright future.
Cons
Despite being around for almost 8 years, the company is still very startup-y in the sense that there is a huge lack of structure. I had 4 different managers in less than a year, none of which were able to help me pursue my other interests here. They like to claim that there is a flat hierarchy but only select people really get the opportunity to move around and get involved in other things. At this point you'll likely be pigeonholed into whatever you were hired for. People got amazing year end reviews and promises for promotions and it's been almost half a year without any further discussion. Upper management is often very oblivious to what is going on underneath them. Everyone is always connected and always working, even on vacations so there's almost an unrealistic expectation to put the company before anything else in your life. *summary: selective career opportunities/slow movement, unengaged upper level management, unrealistic working expectations.
