Pros
I was paid on time. Reporting very easy. Zero interaction with TM staff - totally hands off. They won't bother you on an assignment. Bonuses if you can bring in business.
Cons
You're on your own. The offshore employees deeply resent the US employees because the US employees are the facade used to make this company appear to be less of a third world exploitative sweatshop. The TM staff ignores the contractors until there is a hint of a problem from the client's perspective. Expect no loyalty - the client's word is the only word. Contractors are nothing but easily replaced revenue generators.
