- Amazing creative crew! - Good production crew! - Feature film work : Longer term projects/contracts - Great pipeline which is far more advanced than most studios in the same scale category. - Smaller company: feels more like a family, less corporate, individuals opinion matters - Good work hours with little or no overtime at all - Basic breakfast/coffee daily - Moving to a new bigger facility this year - Overall it feels that things are improving drastically, especially with new director, art director and producer. Better communication, higher moral, more information sharing between management and creative crew
Cons
Although things are improving a lot lately, Toonbox has a bad reputation in the industry and for good reasons. Bad communication between upper management and crew Horrible facilities, tight work spaces, bad air conditioning ( hopefully all of which will get better in the new place ) Definite separation between Korean vs non-Korean crew Certain people get hired/fired without having the supervising crew involved Lack of communication between departments Benefits can be better Compensation is low for some employees
