only consider if you're going to be hired on full time or are willing to pretty much just work for an employee discount - Key Holder Torrid Employee Review

Pros

You work at a clothing store, and the 40% discount makes the clothes what they should be priced to begin with. Good customer service training.

Cons

You can actually get better pay and benefits from Taco Bell.. I'm serious, look it up.. please.. and to say what they expect from you is a lot would be an understatement. For offering no sort of commission, they EXPECT you to go above and beyond the line of duty when it comes to getting people to buy from them. It pretty much tells you in the training manual to personally befriend each and every person who walks in to make them comfortable with paying $38.90 for a cotton tee shirt. If you are not a key holder, asst. manager, manager, and beyond, there are next to no meanwhile benefits, hours, or raises. And the only way for you to be able to work up to one of those positions , is to have complete open availability for them even though the starting rate was only a few cents more than when I worked at Dollar General for a while, making hard to make ends meet. Another way would be if someone in that position quits or is injured for a time being.

Pros

Fun cute clothes. Getring to meet fun customers and brighten their day by helping them feel good in what they wear. Meeting interesting coworkers and having fun at work.

Cons

<15/hr. For lead position. Expected to work on the floor, deal with customers, shipment, doordash, web orders and all retail clothing related things on your own for most of the day with no coverage. Management unable to properly hold associates accountable for inability to complete tasks leading to resentment and distrust of upper management. Lack of proper coverage most of the time as 119 labor hours was usually our max hours for all employees for the whole week. Lack of proper communication when it came to policy changes, work updates or expectations. Guilt trips when unable to work due to disabilities and pre existing conditions. Management lets crocodile tears of employees sway their judgements even though said associates always have a bad attitude and literally drive customers away.
