Since the IPO in 2019, a lot of things changed: - New Management at almost every level had become all about themselves and introduced so many new processes and red tape that it was hard to get things done - People were let go without any justification and more work was tossed on other people’s plates - Managers kept changing and moving around causing lots of confusion and lack of clarity and consistency in relationships (imagine having a new manager every few months and sometimes getting your old manager back after a while) - No title changes for long periods of time (most people in Technology go 5+ years without a promotion, which is too long) - People on the Business side become Directors or MDs within a few years but people in Technology are treated differently - Most of the revenue is generated by old software built before this millennium and there are no Developers left who know anything about it, so it’s very hard to troubleshoot issues or make changes without things breaking
