Pros

- People that i work with are generally nice people who do care about their job and their bedside manner - Overtime is pretty accessible - More freedom on the road than other Ems agencies (e.g. Break times) and you don't feel too burnt out

Cons

- Bad communication between management - Multiple Supervisors and bosses who don't seem to know their exact roles and what is expected of them - Favoritism - Dispatchers do not generally have Ems backgrounds so poorly arrange Medical transports which end up being cancelled or bounced due to lack of Medical necessity for Ambulance, resulting in the company losing money - Pay is not appropriate

Pros

911 call experience. You have the opportunity to network with hospital staff and law enforcement.

Cons

Company hires many EMRs. Maybe 3 times per month, you may get stuck with an EMR and will have to manage patient care by yourself all day. Company will put you on late calls 50% of the time. Average of 7-8 transports and 10-12 calls per day. Rarely at a post for long. Low pay as the base is $18.00. HC is expensive. 401k vested schedule is 2 years, and many employees do not last that long. Equipment is unreliable; the phones and laptops will randomly either shut off, die or experience network issues. Turnover is extremely high for this company. It's a shame because this company has potential, but the pay is far too low considering the amount of calls they dispatch.
