Pros

They at least pay you something to attend the daily meetings. I lost money paying for daily travel expenses when compared to my monthly commissions.

Cons

Constellation, the energy supplier we represented is a solid company. However you are treated as a third world person by their Houston reps. They are marketing oriented at best. Don't question what we are saying and do exactly what you are told. Hard pill to swallow if you've been in sales for any length of time. Drove 56 miles roundtrip to attend morning meeting and give daily goals. Then had to back to area where I live to begin daily call schedule. Was initially told territories were protected only to find out that one rep was being allowed to go where ever she wanted. Trelevate management are top notch con men. Googled the only address I could find, one on our check stub, and it is a residence in a plat in Phoenix. Everyone works from home which explains why you can never get an answer to a question. Its a store front operation. Don't question anything done or you will be labeled as being negative and shunned by local managers. Left after 6 months and took position with energy broker. Couldn't believe the difference. Still have Constellation as main supplier to use but rules are different. Lower electric and natural gas rates from same supplier. Go figure. Can negotiate rate to be competitive and no TPV calls. Have formal business cards with printed name and phone number as well as ability to communicate via emails and letters to clients. A no-no with Trelevate. Better commission structure and NO MORNING MEETINGS.

Trelevate Response

Thank you for your feedback. I am choosing to respond to this so long after the post because yes, when we first started, we did work from home to keep costs down so we could put more money into our training, employees and services. Because we grew so much, several years ago, corporate moved into office space in Phoenix. Since that initial move, we've had to move into even a larger space because of growth. I am sorry your early experience wasn't all positive and I wish you luck in your career.

Pros

One of the things I've appreciated most about working at Trelevate is how much the leadership genuinely cares about people at every level of the organization. From my experience, the president, vice president, and leadership team are approachable, supportive, and intentional about investing in their employees. They don't view people as numbers—they take the time to build relationships, encourage growth, and help individuals succeed both professionally and personally. Trelevate has created a culture where employees are valued, supported, and challenged to become better versions of themselves. The company invests heavily in training and development and strives to be more than just a workplace. It feels like a place where people can build meaningful careers while continuing to grow as leaders. I've also seen firsthand how committed the company is to promoting from within. Through my work helping with social media and internal communications, I've watched numerous employees earn promotions and advance their careers. There are genuine opportunities for growth, and leadership actively looks for ways to help people take the next step. Additionally, many of our roles involve business-to-business sales, which develops valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that benefit employees well beyond their current position.

Cons

Trelevate is a performance-driven environment, so success requires initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Those looking for a highly structured role with little personal accountability may find the environment challenging. Beyond that, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and it is difficult to identify significant drawbacks given the culture, support, and opportunities the company provides.

Pros

Thorough Training, Managers who care, Support Staff who work hard for me, and Coaching from Leaders who have Done the job and Excelled at it! I wanted to learn skills that would not be replaced with AI or technology- and I've found it!

Cons

The thing that challenges me the most, is not allowing mediocre results to become the norm or accept being just good enough. This company will challenge you to stretch and grow in your skill and professionalism. Some people may struggle with constantly having to learn- I have learned how to embrace my career growth!
