Pros

Fast, fun, friendly, smart environment. Here at UAT there is consistency amongst departments to provide students the most support throughout their enrollment. We value excellence and educating students in advancing technology who innovate for the future. Our daily focus stems from this Mission and it is a joy to share in this with the team. I feel valued, heard and appreciated in my role, I find joy in helping students pursue their education. Such rewarding work. Couldn't ask for much more.

Cons

I have found students often need help understanding their responsibilities as a student. Whether, it is class participation or addressing their finances. As a team we are working together daily to ensure students are educated on the best way to make the most of their enrollment and remain on top of their responsibilities.

Pros

During my time at this company, I found that one of the more rewarding aspects was building strong rapport with some students. These relationships were fulfilling and provided a sense of connection and purpose in my role. However, this positive aspect was overshadowed by several significant challenges in the work environment.

Cons

I worked at this company for a significant amount of time, and unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. The company culture often requires after-hours work on a daily basis, which is not balanced by competitive compensation or benefits. Career growth opportunities seem limited, especially if you're not part of the inner circle, with management frequently prioritizing and praising individuals who don't contribute to the workload. The lack of resources for both staff and students at this technical school is another major concern. There is little support to ensure success, leaving staff to shoulder burdens that should be shared by management. Additionally, the work environment often requires treating capable adults like children, with managers overly involved in basic tasks rather than allowing individuals to thrive independently. One positive aspect of the job was the relationships built with some students, which offered fulfillment. However, overall, the compensation, lack of resources, and poor management made it difficult to feel valued or supported in this role. I would not recommend this company to those seeking career growth, competitive pay, or a healthy work-life balance.
