Pros
Great opportunities and experiences for travel and training. In service benefits are good, education, housing support, medical. Various training opportunities avail for those willing to pursue them.
Cons
Retirement benefits have diminished in recent years to include higher health care premiums for those who are not living near a military installation. The Air Force has a confused culture. On the one had they want to embrace diversity but on the other people of faith are being forced to compartmentalize their faith rather than be allowed to live it out in a respectful and meaningful way. This is very disheartening as our profession is to defend the Constitution which grants us the very freedoms that are now being curtailed.
