Pros

The people and the team are the best part of the job. The day goes quicker and more fun. People is willing to help, friendly, and approachable. The pros list is now so short that I can't think of anything else.

Cons

Management are disconnected between themselves. There is no real communication from the management to address rumors, or reassuring the ones left behind. Management no longer care about the loyalty aspect of the employees. Countless layoff waves including major ones and soft ones across all departments resulting in stressed and overworked employees. Even managers/directors are unsure if they will survive the next wave of layoff. The employees left behind are scrambling to get new jobs or work in fear that they will be next. Also, people won't come to work just because of free coffee and Thursday breakfast.

Thank you for the feedback. At VIZIO we always want our communication to and with our employees to be thoughtful and meaningful. We know sometimes our intent does not translate in our messages and timing can be improved. Our business needs are changing and over the last year we have had to align our organizational structure to accommodate those needs. With these changes come tough decisions that are not easy for anyone in the company. We do not take any of the changes affecting our team members lightly and do very much value our employees. We know our employees are our greatest strength and very much value our team members.

Pros

People are friendly and easy to work with. Most people are team players. Work life balance does exist for some roles.

Cons

Management is easily threatened by people who ask questions or make suggestions for improvement. Gate keeping info, people, and development opportunities is common. Due to Vizio/Walmart promotion policies, there is no upward mobility. Senior Management has told employees if they want to move up, they need to go elsewhere. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who have limited experience running the place and it shows on both a business decision and leadership level.
