Pros
People are generally nice, you get private healthcare after a year and the training is quite extensive. My manager was really good but from what I heard it's mostly not the case across the company.
Cons
The high turnover speaks for itself- very archaic company with a very low base salary, and a comission structure that even people who have been there decades do not understand. Rigid working hours- outdated views on WFH which would be fine but the office and culture are nothing to get excited about (unless drinking is your thing). Systems are extremely outdated and for a company that prides itself on how ethical it is, gossip is rife. Personally I would only join if this is your first job out of university or into a sales/recruitment role- otherwise I wouldn't bother as there are plenty of other companies in the city Venn have offices in that offer far more benefits. Hours are 8.30 to 5.30 but best believe if you leave at 5.30 you will be pulled up on it. Made to dress corporately even though you are sat at a desk all day and very rarely go out to meet clients. Lack of use of LinkedIn which makes finding new business way harder than it already is. Still stuck in the early 2000s mindset of recruitment which doesn't work anymore as they don't attract the best talent. People in my office were grafting so so hard and were getting absolutely nothing- no fault of their own which was pretty hard to watch. Not really a nice place to work if you have experience working in other places who pay more and actually have more benefits. Anyone who questions these rules is seen as lazy, but strangely enough there are so many jobs out there where people earn way more without having to deal with any of that.
