Pros

They claim to be the leading consultant/contractor in doing FedRAMP assessments and packages.

Cons

The managers at this company are not skilled in providing feedback on the work you do as an employee or as a contractor. You will not receive any positive or negative feedback until (1) your 6-month review or (2) your 1-year review. Up until then, unless you ask point-blank for feedback you will not receive any feedback or any guidance on how to do your job better.

Pros

Veris Group has an unbelievable culture that allows you to grow into any career path you may want. That's not say that it is going to happen overnight, but if you convey your goals and interests then management does make an effort to try and get you involved in those disciplines. At times the workload can be intense, but if you're the type of person who thrives on that then Veris Group is the place for you. I worked for Veris Group and then left the organization to explore other alternatives, but I eventually made my way back to company because its unlike most organizations out there in that you feel like a member of the team rather than just another number on a balance sheet. In addition, there are some extremely intelligent people at this organization who you can learn a lot from no matter what discipline you're in.

Cons

As with every organization, the company has faced some staffing issues with finding the right people. However, I do believe that this is a larger issue across the information technology space. Everyone who has a CISSP believes they should demand a six-figure salary, but you need the skill set and personel drive to back that certification up.
