Cons
Your experience is highly dependent on your local management. I've been on teams where we were constantly running around with our hair on fire. No organization. No proactive thinking. Just responding to fires as they pop up. This led to a toxic work environment where I couldn't even take a vacation without getting a text from management about some issue that suddenly arose which could've been easily prevented if we were organized appropriately. On the other hand, I've been on teams where management was experienced and competent in understanding how to run a software development team. It was a night and day difference in work-life balance, stress, and overall job satisfaction. Those of you who are interviewing for this company, do not be afraid to thoroughly vet the hiring manager and make sure that they at least sound like they know how to run a team.
