      Pros

      Founder was visionary but somehow plagued the firm with politics and bureaucracy. Lots of brilliant people used to be around but now many have been gone or are considering to leave.

      Cons

      The tech guy in management, fond of talking BS and persecuting people he didn’t like. Somehow got the owner to believe in a bunch of “big” ideas he himself didn’t even know how to implement.

      Pros

      Opportunity to work with extremely bright and driven colleagues. Strong emphasis on technology and data-driven decision-making. Competitive compensation packages and great office perks in the Austin tech hub.

      Cons

      The workload can be intense with high expectations for delivery. The proprietary nature of the work means using many in-house tools rather than industry-standard open source. Can feel siloed depending on which specific project or team you are assigned to.
