Pros

The people working there are great they make the work worthwhile.

Cons

Benefits are boring! then to make it worse: -Work life balance is non existent. It used to be you worked non-stop during open enrollment season only, now it is all year long. Way too much work laid on everyone since Aetna doesn't want maintain adequate staffing levels. (they want to save money). I would equate it to a white collar/tech sweat shop. -The company culture is changing. It has turned from a fun place to work with an upstart culture to a new boring, strict corporate culture. Happy hours and social events are slowly being faced out. Happy hours used to be hosted every other week, then once a month, now we're lucky is we get one every 3 months. Liquor was permitted in the office, now they send out emails not to have any alcohol laying around on your desk. RIP fun work environment. If you didn't join a year or more ago you missed bswift in its heyday. It has become a dumping ground for people from AonHewitt who brought with them the corporate, boring mentality culture. - Pay raises are a disgrace given how hard everyone works throughout the year. If you are looking to earn less than 2% raises year-over-year this is the place for you. In a place where you have access to the salaries to over a hundred employees in different companies it sucks to see how much you are being underpaid no matter your role. -We used to strive to create raving fans by excelling at what we did. Now Aetna is so focused on setting earnings targets for bswift that sales teams sell services bswift cannot handle, which in turn leads to sub par execution and a lot of extra work for employees and worst of all dissatisfied clients. About 40% of existing clients do not renew their contracts - but somehow the management seems to thing that by getting bigger clients you can negate all those that are leaving, this neglects the underlying service deficiencies at bswift but o well. All of the above is why employee morale is at an all time low. We are bleeding good workers left and right. On average most people leave after only 1 year because they burn you out. You are left in an environment where people get promoted because they are the only ones who have been there long enough not because they are qualified to fulfill the duties of their new management role.

Pros

Remote based company-no in office required

Cons

Culture has become worse during the past several months. Micro managing/widget counting. Outsourced tasks to India (which does not work US hours so there are delays with deliverables) - which sacrificed AMERICAN jobs.
