Pros

They have Free yoga classes and good garbage cans

Cons

I hated my career at Simplehuman. The micromanaging, toxic and not inclusive environment made it so hard to fit in. The CEO, Frank, is so involved in every aspect of the business. Employees are so afraid to go against his decision whether it makes their jobs harder or not. They are there to execute his orders. If you want to be a puppet, Simplehuman is the place for you. I was blinded by the nice look of the office and the free yoga classes. I left on my own accord because I refused to be in an environment where the team and the management were not supportive and work in a toxic environment. If I can give a 0 star, I would. On a positive note, this experience taught me to do my due diligence and also take the negative reviews seriously. Knowing what I know now, would not put much trust in most of the positive reviews. I have moved on and the best decision I have done for myself. I wrote the review in the hope I can help any potential candidates.

Pros

Nice facilities and frequent activities during lunch hours.

Cons

Nearly all work ultimately revolves around meeting the expectations of the CEO/founder, which is challenging because direction can be unclear, inconsistent, and subject to sudden changes. Priorities often shift without communication or explanation, making it difficult to plan ahead or work with any sense of stability. It frequently felt like teams were trying to interpret what the CEO wanted rather than following a coherent strategy. You might be aligned one day only to find the expectations have changed the next, not due to the quality of the work but simply because his ideas had shifted. This created a reactive environment where people were constantly doubting themselves and second-guessing. The result is a workplace where morale is noticeably low and employees appear stressed and uncertain about how to succeed. If you value clarity, consistent communication, or a collaborative culture, this environment may be challenging.
