    Pros

It's a family owned business. They are evolving into something larger and the management shares it's vision, pro's, con's, and everything else with all employees. Employees would be considered on-site contractors at most of their customer sites, but they have a full benefits package and better job stability than Corporate America. Credo is admirable and can be accomplished. They haven't had a major lay-off in 20 years that they've been in business - even in the most recent recession, they're still hiring. Their in the packaging industry - and their the largest player with very limited competition - good niche market for a company like this one.

    Cons

At the end of the day, you are still considered a Consultant or Contractor at the Customer site. This can sometimes end up causing feelings of "disconnect" because you may be the main driving force behind a major project, but are not allowed to receive the same recognition from the Customer as other full-time employees of the Customer. It can be disappointing sometimes, but the higher pay and informal recognition - plus the fact that the company recognizes you at the annual corporate meeting, makes up for it.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a better way to define what is a "Equity Employee." Don't use the word, "contractor" because that's not really what we are...we're somewhere in between a "contractor" and a "full-time employee." Also, website needs to be revamped. We know it is supposed to happen this year, but the sooner the better! You need to showcase the impressive list of Customers and the Employees too.

    Pros

    - Management is fully responsible towards the consultants
    - Job assurance even after the contract ends with client.
    - Exposure to different types of companies, thus different work cultures, new learning experience etc.

    Cons

As a consultant you are not the sole owner of the projects, so sometimes it is disappointing for self-assessment

    Pros

-Great Exposure to different FMCG companies
-Get to work in different areas of Packaging and Development. An amazing learning experience.
-Management is ever ready to take care of the employees requirements, assigning them projects in a proper manner.

    Cons

-As a consultant, a project won’t be fully handed over to you. The extents of your involvement in the project would be dictated by the company.

    Advice to Management

The management should conduct more workshops/training sessions to develop all their employes so that they are updated to the new trends in market.

    Pros

"Unity in Diversity" is the best example for Equity Packaging. Have been working here since 2007. Have worked as a Team alongside various people with varied industry experience, cultures, religions, et all. The skills, efforts & dedication of all Employees are highly recognized & are awarded to boost the morale & attitude for better productivity. No politics going around in the Office. Each & every individual is like a part of the Equity Family & is heard by the Management for any issues/concerns faced, be it Project related or Office related. If you are good in what you do, then there is a huge potential of growth here. Sky is the limit..!!

    Cons

Contract positions - The duration of contract positions depends on client needs & requirement. Hence there might not be a permanent job for such recruitment's but on the other side, the remuneration's for such positions are BEST in the Industry.

    Advice to Management

Just keep doing what you do..!!

I have been working at Equity Packaging full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Equity Packaging Inc. is a family business which values & respects all its employees & treats them as a part of the family. Though it has been in existence for almost 24 years now & has developed a niche for itself, I would still consider it to be in an evolving phase but has a strong customer base across different industrial sectors ranging from FMCG, Food & Beverage, Health & Nutrition, Automobiles, Lubes, Engineering/Electronics & so on. I have been associated with India branch of Equity Packaging Inc. for almost 2 years now & so far it has been a great working experience. The team is young, dynamic & passionate about the work which brings the positivity in the overall working environment. All employees are clear about the mission & vision of the organization & work hand in hand to achieve the same. Compensation provided is best in the category & company recognizes & rewards its employees for their extra ordinary efforts in the growth of the business. Overall a good organization to work for where you are valued & get good cross cultural work exposure across different industry segments to broaden the scope of your technical horizon.

    Cons

It’s a consultancy firm & employment in such a set up is usually project based. The fate of the project depends on the client & the contract can get cancelled any time. But this is how most of the consultancy firms usually operate. There haven’t been any major lay-offs in 24 years Equity Packaging Inc. has been in business & every time it succeed in salvaging such critical situation because of the strong customer base & the reputation it has earned over the years.

    Advice to Management

Company needs to identify its USP & should promote its brand utilizing all means of social media, professional networking sites & other means of digital marketing. Management needs to identify the skill sets of its employees & help them to upgrade the same for their betterment & also the benefit of the organization. Starting a new business vertical like trading of differentiated packaging materials would not be a bad idea at this point of time.

    Pros

EPI has clear vision and mission so that everybody In the team understand the importance of their roles. Management understand that No company, small or large, can win over the long run without energized employees who believe in the mission and understand how to achieve it. EPI has young and enthusiastic team of packaging and plastic technologists. They support each other well and celebrate each other’s success. Management also appreciate everyone’s performance on time.
As Equity has reached to the clients globally, employees get international experience where he/she gets opportunities to work globally Company has their engineers in USA, India, Gulf, Mexico and Germany it provides high flexibility to work on projects at any part of the world.

    Cons

As it is a consultancy firms there is very little space to make any mistakes so mediocrity doesn’t survive here. Employees should work precisely.

    Advice to Management

As company is growing, they should also have products to offer, along with services. That will add one more arrow to the quiver.
