As with any start-up, the lines are sometimes fuzzy as to who owns what. This can lead to confusion and miscommunication.
Also, there is some resistance and tension between the old product direction / aim and the future product; this creates conflict at times.
All that said, Event Store IS evolving into a full, enterprise data platform. The leaders HAVE built companies from pre-series-A to successful IPO. And the team that is being assembled to deliver the future vision is top-notch.
Finally, in spite of earlier comments, the CEO did not ask me to write this review. I just care a lot about Event Store and see tremendous potential to innovate in a bloated market.
For full context, there was a reduction in force some months ago that was personally hard on a few of the veteran Event Store employees. This is unfortunate and I feel badly for these folks.
Now, however, things are moving fast and in a good direction, and I am thoroughly happy to be a part of it.
