In my experience,FOMAS exhibited the following:
- Management allows & fosters high school like drama, with employee’s history even dictating who can move up the ladder and who can’t
- Management is incredibly rude and unwilling to work together. Most folks have “been around long enough” to have “tried that already” with no success
- Incredibly high turnover, 5+ folks in just my position in the last 2 years (per folks at company)
- There is absolutely ZERO training procedure, and I mean literally nothing
- The culture is the most uninspired one I’ve come across yet. Most of the folks that work there have nothing positive to say. There are constant complaints about the way the business is run but no drive to improve
- The Italian group that bought AJAX in 2014 (FOMAS Group) merely bought it as a foot in the door to US business (from what I can tell). It’s VERY clear the sister companies overseas are being prioritized and even fed some of the work from FOMAS USA
- FOMAS Group has little to no understanding of what goes on at FOMAS USA - Italian leadership will hound you to focus on their objectives while on site management is instructing you to do something completely different (in my experience, one example is inventory management)
- The raw material inventory recording & reporting is unethical
- FOMAS USA prioritizes cost effectiveness over employee safety - for example, for months there was no active fire monitoring service
