Most of the staff (nurses/CNAs/etc) are all very kind and friendly. If you do your job well, you get more trust and respect making it easier to advocate for your patients. It always makes my day when I know I have actually cared for and served a patients needs, many of them are extremely thankful and a delight for me to care for. If you are a CNA/other healthcare worker who gets joy from helping others, there is plenty of opportunity here. The level of work here could prepare you for virtually any patient care scenario. Usually free dinner/other meals for staff, but the food is only okay.
Cons
Incredibly short staffed, resulting in corners getting cut at the expense of the patient’s care and safety. Most patients are total care, which is not a con directly, but it makes the work load really heavy. Many CNAs can be irresponsible and not do their job, making it harder for other CNAs.
