Don't Do It

Pros

You get to see the whole agriculture industry. Not much other than that.

Cons

Selling old technology with no future to upgrade in the future. Competition is gaining on them and they bring in new employees and churn them over and over. Has been happening for well over 20 years. They are the most well know company in the industry but is ran like it is a ag company. Everyone is to a breaking point at the company and you will work close to 12-14 hours a day. Expect you to live, breath, and sell Famous. No upward movement in the position. Don't think their customer realize the stress that is put on the employees and matter of time until clients start looking elsewhere for modern day technology.

Not a Great Employer

Pros

Professional building, near River Park. A few really good people there. Big customer base. Issues I mention next are fixable. Lots of work if you're a good fit.

Cons

You're expected to work non-stop, all day, every day....it's a grind. Employees don't come first, the customer/sale comes first. Not a family friendly company. Some people in management seem to be a hot mess. High turnover in a couple departments. Benefits (medical & 401K) are bad.

Pros

Coworkers are great. Coffee and light snacks are always available. Lunch provided on Fridays. Office is in a good location. Medical insurance covered for employee. Shirts and swag are provided to the employee. Good job out of college.

Cons

Salaries didn’t get raised to be more competitive and closer to market until people starting jumping ship. They still aren’t at market. Overall compensation is 50% incentivized. Expected to travel on nights and weekends. Lots of politics in the office. Expected to wear a lot of hats due to low staffing. Workload is tremendous. No 401K matching.
