Pros
As much overtime as you want, flexible with time off.
Cons
Toxic management, No HR on sight. The closest person they have to HR is a receptionist who is in charge of putting in parts orders. They won't give you a reason for being relieved of your position and if you even mention looking for other employment they will walk you out by end of day. If there is an altercation or a problem they will do nothing about it. Sexual harassment is normal. There is no reward system, or pay bump when you're promoted. Everyone is just a body and replaceable. There were days I had to work 15 hours to meet a deadline for customers the next day. They lie and cheat on their reports for the customers (specifically Nexteer). Un-organized, no communication between management themselves or between management and operators. The program launch manager will pile on work with no insight on how to do the work with a short deadline. They will put your name and a title such as "Engineer" on paperwork without giving you the title or getting you certifications to actually be one. I was "promoted" to Quality without even being asked if I wanted it. I was told I would start the next Monday and given a speech about setting an example, more responsibilities and work. 1 whole year went by with multiple talks with management about a pay bump and they gave me the runaround. No constructive criticism as to what I can do better to make it happen nothing. A guy hated it there so much after 26 years he was hauled away by police because he wanted to commit suicide.
