    Pros

Very talented people to work with. Changing jobs and never get bored. A company let you grow and learn.

    Cons

Many staff changes and department restructuring since been acquired by ION Trading. Had a lay off in 2015

    Pros

No pros only cons. Some good engineers working like jersey cow to write lot of code with no architectural understating buy copy and modify application code. Duplication is the fundamental principle and many poisonous old snake waiting to bite if some truth is reveled.

    Cons

Last year I joined FSS after a decade long payment MNc product development & architectural experience and now I could say that was the worst decision i took in my life by creating a black mark in my profile. In FSS i worked with few uncultured and unprofessional Dept heads who just order like military rulers (with poor communication skills and abusive language- Don’t know the meaning of what they say) also expect people to call them Sir... There were many old grey bags who are good for nothing (i.e not capable of finding any IT job outside fss) in FSS and most of the laterals will leave within 1-day to 1 year. Dept Heads are grown with this company and they don’t know what is happening in the software industry or they listen to anyone by asking question like “do you know about payments?). Dept. heads literally rip people for anything/everything and they expect people to take prior permission even before going to rest room. HR team is like bunch puppies and if some old grey bags says some nonsense and they just obey and ask new hire to leave FSS the as they don’t have any spine or power. Also you won’t be having access to HR area as some people went and bash at them in the past. In FSS My 2 lines of code for a production outage issue took 2 months to go to production because of their different wastage layers and internal politics. In FSS supervisors never ask subordinates before committing anything (whether it is outstation travel or a week end work). One day i seen dept. head was shouting to a group of people with uncontrolled abusive language mentioning that "he will throw everyone out through the window if they couldn’t complete the work immediately". FSS give systems which are disposed from other software companies (eg:2GB RAM) and engineers struggle on their environment on day to day basis as there I no net connection available to engineers to learn. They make money by torturing and exhausting fresher’s blood by locking 3 years bond and 3 months notice. Finally this is my advice who are planning to join FSS. If you are not a technically capable person and fine to bend ur head with supervisors in order to survive then only go with this company otherwise should not join this company at any cost to spoil your carrier.

    Advice to Management

Throw the old grey bags who are good for nothing and adding no value to the company. Bring proper HR practice by empowering Hr team. As dept heads hide everything under their carpet company should get pulse survey feed back from all employees and take necessary actions.

I have been working at Financial Software Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has client all around the world, the product covers a lot of the financial market; these aspects help to expand your knowledge on the business.

    Cons

The company was acquired by ION Trading, ever since, a lot of people keep quitting, so a lot of knowledge has been lost, but also the work load has incremented since not a lot of people have been hired to cover the lost positions.

    Advice to Management

Spend less time in meetings, try to embrace change instead of resisting it.

I have been working at Financial Software Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Development team is very good.
For 1-3 years experience decent level of work comes.
Not a heavy work load (heavy work can be done to fetch more hikes)

    Cons

    very biased towards certain employees
Less pay. US team doesn't care India team.
India higher management thinks, developers job is shitty. Hike depends on more work hours.
Even leads, managers does lot of development work.
Only difference in roles is, lead/manager can take decisions but does developer job most for the time.

    Advice to Management

Value every employee based on quality of work.
Software Developers does at least equal contribution to Company Growth.
