Work remote and office a few times month

No support. They give you a script to read and you either sale products or not. The leads are the same leads all other carrier agents receive. The lead get called about 40-50 times in the first hour that the lead is hot.

Pros
I have worked for this company for 8 years and I have never been more happier with my job and position. We as a company try our best to help others be their best. We are always paid on holidays if it should fall through the week or we have it off. We also enjoy company picnics in the summer and many other days that we celebrate together. This is one heck of a company to work for. Our administrative people try their best to be on hand if possible. Sure we make mistakes, but it is all a work in progress. Our President and owner of the Company is one good man with a very good heart. He and a few of us that were here when it started was just small. It has grown by leaps and bounds but I am sure there has been many heartaches over what to do and how to handle things. So think back there has been downfalls for the company as well as the people. Every company goes thru something. Remember we want a job and I for one would hate to lose it. If it should ever happen I can say one thing I was never mistreated. And I remember working long late hours and was happy to do so. So being an employee of First Family Insurance falls on each of us to make it a better place to work than yesterday.

I have never had a con about working for First Family Insurance. They have taught me much.

There are so many pros for working for First Family Insurance. They are a family oriented company. I have worked there for 8 years and have never thought of ever leaving. I am so blessed to work there. My stepfather passed away and they knew that I would need some time to help my mom get her stuff in order. The President of our Company and Owner Jason and his right hand person Bridget has been so good to me. I don't see other companies giving me time off but they gave me time to get things done for my mom and I still did my job. I should have been making calls and other things but they told me it is important to help my mom and to get her taken care of because of the loss of her husband, That is just pure kindness. I want to thank Jason from the bottom of my heart for all that you did and the dinner. First Family Is the bomb. I can never thank you enough for all your kindness.

The illusion of a good company to work for... The environment tends to be laid back and relaxed and indeed the new commission structure may payout more cash, the new caveats are the real issue. I believe the Owner does have a good heart and really cares for his people, however other members of management do not share the same levels of concern nor integrity.
Cons
Smiles and Happy Days appear to be the culture, while deception, greed, and, illegality tend to be the true underlying precedents at play here. The obvious propaganda and false ratings on this board, by a small group of "core" employees, are just another example of the lies and deception that are standard practice of the leadership of this company. Beware!

I love what I do! The company provides outstanding leads. My co workers are awesome. Very little pressure from Management. Seems to be heading in the right direction.
Cons
Initially I had the option to go hourly or straight commission. Since I did not have any cushion to live off until money started to come in, I choose hourly! Big Mistake! And I can't go 1099 for another year. Hourly wages are very low, so I am not even certain I will be able to afford to do it then. Also no benefits, no profit sharing, retirement etc. The only way to bonus is to sell supplement accident or critical illness insurance, so rarely do I bonus, and even then, the bonus is very low. It was better before they changed it, but the way it is now is horrible.

100% cold calling. 100% commission. You only reach people that are angry you called. You are a telemarketer.
