    Pros

    - Financially very strong, pursuing growth, sound business plan. Overall a very stable environment for long term oriented people.

    Cons

    - Very structured organization, "Old fashioned" culture, some leaders are too autocratic. This can be expected for an engineering company, but there is room for improvement.

    Advice to Management

    - Be truly open minded to ideas and needs of your organization; empower your employees by giving some flexibility.

    I worked at Forbo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, regional manager was the best, training

    Cons

    Corporate had their "favorites" that they used for certain things and left other reps feeling as if they didn't count; new management at the time changed sales philosophy from pro-Forbo to something very different.

    Advice to Management

    Bring in sales management that not only seeks to excel the growth, but doesn't forget about the importance of the field reps creating that growth.

    Customer service and sales people very easy to deal with and benefits are pretty good,

    Cons

    Upper management was all about promoting who they know, rarely listened to the information the sales people were getting from customers. Let people earn what they deserve

    Advice to Management

    If you want to grow you have to believe in your people

    Pros

    The pay was decent, insurance, medical dental vision at a decent cost. Some of the co workers actually cared about the quality of the product.

    Cons

    Very unsafe. Little attention was paid to safety, first responders--- there were none. No training in the area of fire prevention. Horrible plant ventilation, management uses money to spy and snoop instead of using the money to help organize safety programs. And dont be a minuet late or they give you grief even though you walk 3 blocks from parking to plant.

    Advice to Management

    Seriously. Stop the mis use of athority. Look at the people that work there and put your self in their boots. They want to live another day. Work on safety and hire a safety staff. The plant needs to have a safety ehs person and there has not been one in that dangerous enviorment for over 3 years. Fix It.

    Pros

    The company had great health benefits.

    Cons

    There was zero community within the company. There were zero celebrations for holidays or events. The build did not even have a communal room for the employees to meet in and socialize. Most people ate lunch at their desks.

    Advice to Management

    The management should try to encourage a more social culture. A holiday party would be great or maybe a company picnic.
