Pros

Used to be a great place to be. Awesome smart people, fun environment, I loved going to work everyday.

Cons

There are so many I don't even know where to start. Upper management who make decisions without understanding the ins and outs of what the teams are dealing with, so there are no solutions, just added problems and bad decisions. Major unhappiness with everyone I know still here, they all want to leave because they feel unappreciated, and overworked. There are people who have left who we will not be able to replace, but the company doesn't understand that high level technical people with these skills are very very difficult to find. Staff is pushed hard, expected to do more with absolutely no support to justify the goals set. New management with no understanding or background in our industry, but set expectations that aren't in line with our capabilities because of no resources. Understaffed, under resourced, pie in the sky ideas with no concrete strategic plan that will get us there.

Pros

There aren't a lot, to be honest. Work life balance, maybe, and flexible hours. Industry, technology and customers are really cool.

Cons

Terrible pay and cost cutting all over the place. Entirely new Sr Mgmt team, most of whom don't know anything about software or our industry. Lots of people in positions they don't have the skills to do but are there because they somehow played politics with the right people. People are leaving in droves because of poor management (managers just point fingers and chase you for things and don't actually have the skills or knowledge of how to support you), and ridiculous pay and no incentive program (many have asked for increases only to be refused).

Pros

Great products and an exciting industry to be involved with. Always on the bleeding edge of innovating new solutions to tough problems

Cons

Lack of strategic leadership and focus. Employee morale is low and attrition is extremely high. Budgets and resources too restricted to achieve desired results. Many are asked to do more for less and are spread really thin.
