I worked at Gamesa (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ok Company, global footprint, paid training. Seem to want you to succeed in the beginning, then don't support you.

    Cons

2 man teams for small wind turbine facilities, no down time, 24/7 on call, have to use vacation time for a weekend off. RUBBISH!!!

    Advice to Management

look at your staffing and promote a SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT, 2 men up tower and an accident means, somebody is probably not going home.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Gamesa part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company with really strong leadership. Working there has benefited me and aided me in my future pursuits. A really fun culture to work in.

    Cons

Some down sides to working there predominantly had to deal with a handful of the other workers. Just normal back and forth stuff, nothing too major. Still a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

They have really strong leadership and have a lot of success but my biggest advice to the management would be to be more proactive about being down on the floor where the coworkers are working.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Gamesa full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

never a dull moment in a multicultural reach environment. Relaxed atmosphere and a serious meaning to work well. Always opportunities to shine

    Cons

Sense of urgency is not the same in all levels, that makes sometimes a little challenging to accomplish things, still adds to the variety of hat that we all need to wear

    Advice to Management

Listen to every level, they are the ones that understand all the problems and the ways out, unilateral decisions from the main corporate office are not effective in all markets

I worked at Gamesa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team environment with a diverse work crew. The work is very self explanatory and the ability to govern your own workspace.

    Cons

Camaraderie is lacking with some drawbacks of any union job. That's not to say that unions are bad but if you're expecting to advance yourself through skill then you need to rethink that.

    Advice to Management

Work with the resources in the workforce and do not throw money at problems.
