      Pros

      Lots you can learn in your first 18 months out of college. Salary isn't terrible. Staff level camaraderie. If you can get an office job, reasonable consulting hours. Some staff get to work on some interesting groundwater resource projects.

      Cons

      Management actively sabotages staff advancement. 0 career development. Wage/hour theft standard - Staff are expected to "get the work done". 16-18 hr days, and make straight time. 401k deductions frequently don't make it to your account. Vacations canceled, night shift work with 3 hour notice.

Over the past few years, we have made changes to standardize compensation packages, expand communication, and enhance manager training, including how to deliver and to receive feedback.

      Pros

      You must learn and do it quickly. You will never feel bored and the days will fly by but say goodbye to your personal life outside of the office.

      Cons

      Family owned (dictated). Management is very poor and does not take the time to develop and appreciate staff. Acquisition of money at the expense of the little guy seems to be the name of the game.

Over the past few years, we have increased our management team training and development and are actively working on creating a positive, rewarding work environment for our entire team.

      Pros

      You get to work in a company with a team of coworkers who are congenial and create a wonderful synergy and support for any team member.

      Cons

      It is a family-owned private company and you will have to understand and accept all of their decisions, whether good or bad for you personally.

We have since adopted a new approach to decision making by involving all levels of management in strategy meetings. Our team is focused on creating transparency and growth as a collaborative team.
