    Pros

Beautiful showroom, fun people who have become friends. Lots of kudos lunches recognizing those who have done a great job.

    Cons

Management is not transparent. Rumors spread frequently, created uneasiness about layoffs. No bonuses over my time there. Stayed at the same salary, which is frustrating. If you want to have a raise you have to negotiate.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent or hire people who are able to not divulge management meetings information.

I worked at Goodmans Interior Structures full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small knit group and flexible to work with. You meet a lot of great local architects, design groups, and clients.

    Cons

Constant change in process and programs, which is great for company growth, however the training and follow up aren't always there. People tend to learn at different paces which makes it hard to implement.

I have been working at Goodmans Interior Structures (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great group of people, pretty showroom, involved in the community.

    Cons

I have been with Goodmans for a several years now and the recent additions of a ton of middle managers have those of us doing the day to day work shaking our heads. All the managers don't know what is going on and it is not clear on who does what. Come back down to earth and join us and learn what we do. Kinda reminds me of that movie Office Space where 5 managers reminded me to put a cover sheet on my TPS reports.

    Advice to Management

Be transparent and know what we worker bees do!

I have been working at Goodmans Interior Structures full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The culture of this company is outstanding. They really treat you like a family here. The opportunity to learn and grow are substantial. The co-workers and clients are the best part of this job. Comp time offered, bonuses are nice, and PTO is the best.

    Cons

Getting salary increases is like pulling teeth. No 401K match. Upper management is MIA or doesn't have the slightest idea of project load or what the day to day struggles are.

    Advice to Management

Get in the trenches. When you see your team drowning jump in to help instead of standing there looking for others to jump in.
