The CEO has a reputation of threatening people who leave ‘negative’ reviews, but it’s only fair that I share my experience. Very unhealthy, psychologically unsafe environment to work in due to false promises, pitting employees and departments against eachother, public humiliation, and wildly inappropriate jokes and comments made in meetings by CEO and COO. There was no confidentiality within 1-2-1s or in HR so there was nowhere to turn when you had concerns. CEO was evasive around commission structures in marketing and would move goal posts to avoid paying out. Very high staff turnover, consistently there were around 30 staff members at a time, but i worked there just shy of a year and i recalled 64 people leaving. Quite a few people walked out after confrontations with the CEO, and also a few were publically fired in front of others. My own termination was delivered by a manager from another department and was unclear, abrubt, and humiliating. Equipment provided was poor, i designed on a very laggy old imac for around 5 months until i inherited a macbook from someone who left. People who were recently hired would ask about multiple offices or features in the office and perks that didn’t exist, because they’d been promised them in interview! It felt very much like high school with the scheduled breaks, the surveillance, the bullying, the oppressive hierarchy, and the 40 minute tellings off where you couldn’t speak back. I’ve had to put work into gaining back my confidence after working here so my advice would be to just avoid like the plague, unless you desperately need experience in bid writing (i really wouldn’t recommend any other department).
