I worked at HCL Workforce Solutions full-time

    Pros

I had a great few years at HCL. Really there is great career development, nice working environment and they value employees for sure. Great benefits offered and incentives like days out, prizes etc. I actually was promoted many times whilst I was there. People on this site are complaining about redundancies but what to do? That is the nature of the beast and occurs in most large companies.

    Cons

During the end of my time at HCL, a lot of the management left.

    Advice to Management

Use the same methods as the old management.

    Pros

Location, working hours, kitchen, shower, no others comes to mind.

    Cons

Managers couldn't really make any decisions. All comes form the boards, and so many cuts.

I worked at HCL Workforce Solutions full-time

    Pros

Working with a great team is what kept me there, however, I am glad to see the back of HCL.

    Cons

The place is truly unprofessional, from management to the people they employee. Never have I been exposed to that level of rudeness and arrogance, most of all from people who have zero experience and dare I say it skills. Senior management are only concerned about making money and don't take on feedback very well. The place is toxic to the bone and people should stay away if you want to keep your sanity.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees and you may start to see higher levels of results.

    Pros

Good for stability, to stay longer without getting any significant hike in salaries. As en employees need a lot of patience.

    Cons

HR policies only on paper, they do not implement at all. Software developers gets very little portion of the revenue, HR and Admin eat all.

    Advice to Management

HR policies should be implemented comprehensively, their is a cartel between manager and HR parters , this way they harass the employees.

I worked at HCL Workforce Solutions full-time

    Pros

    Strong and established brand
Incentives for achieving (holidays etc) are good

    Cons

Have never been able to put my finger on what is wrong with HCL from a staff retention point of view. There's certainly something not right and deep-set within the business though. They have a good balance from a "carrot and stick" perspective but perhaps management are too distant, commission structure could be better, business units could communicate better and some of the micro management/ KPIs/ stats are too much.

I have been working at HCL Workforce Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work environment is good and flexibility given to employees.

    Cons

Too much work but very less pay even after doing hard work.

    Advice to Management

Promotions should be based on total work experience not just randomly. In name of bell curve RM justifies low ratings despite putting so much efforts.

    Pros

    Excellent staff
Freedom to run your desk (within reason) as a mini business
    Good learning environment
    Good commission structures
    Good, regular incentives

    Cons

Basic rates are not reflective of the market
Decisions can take a while (at times)
Lack of budget for marketing activities/conferences

    Advice to Management

Regularly review basic pay rates to attract the best talent and regularly review progress with staff to ensure they feel valued and have a career at the company.

    Pros

Excellent commission structure - at least on my division
    Great Team, good atmosphere

    Cons

Too old fashioned in terms of management, I would like to see a bit more flexibility. A bit more social media wouldn't hurt.

    Advice to Management

Google: how to attract and retain millennials and you will find a bit more about what we want.
