Close knit family company (most employee's are related in someway). Overall the project managers are suburb humans. There's free coffee in the breakroom kitchen.
Cons
I applied for a job posting for a Full Time, Permanent, Office Administrator. After the interview process, I was hired. It was mentioned several times they were looking for long term (so was I) After working there 9 months, I was let go because someone was coming back from maternity leave. I would not have applied or wasted my time knowing it was a temporary roll.
There is a lot of autonomy and they will let you take a project and run with it. They follow the craft employee structure from helper to leadman to foreman etc very strong.
They have great benefits offered to all employees and do a lot of events for their employees. Opportunities to travel for the company as well.
Cons
Not a lot of direction and guidance. Communication breakdown between higher level corporate side and blue collar side.
Hard for someone who lacks experience in steel to get caught up.
