I have been working at Hydrite full-time

    Pros

Great culture. Management, directors and owners who care. Forward thinking

    Cons

I have been working at Hydrite full-time

    Pros

    Great benefits, strong family culture

    Cons

    Lower pay, lack of diversity

    Advice to Management

Focus on family is good but sometimes different thinking is needed and we don't get that when we all are in the same "family". In fact, great irony that a family is not more welcoming of diversity.

    Pros

    Absolutely none at all

    Cons

Management is terrible at listening, and they don't incorporate things correctly. Work life balance is terrible, and the pay for the warehouse isn't what it should be for the work they do

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Hydrite full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Strong Private Company, Good Benefits

    Cons

Training took a nose dive several years back getting rid of the training coordinator position

    Advice to Management

Engineering Managers do not know how to manage production operators. Pay is low for operators at Cottage Grove East for the work they do compared to other industries

I worked at Hydrite full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Upward mobility, company often promotes.

    Cons

Meeting customer demands #1 priority - this is perpetuated from regional managers down. Active in ignoring unsafe conditions/pressures to meet customer demands at any costs. Plant maintenance budgets inadequate. Safety culture is inadequate and antiquated. Business grows to fast for own good - outpaces its resources & leans on people and short cuts.

    Advice to Management

Hire talent from outside at top level positions. This company does not know what good looks like from a manufacturing perspective.

I worked at Hydrite full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are top notch. Retirement plan is crazy !

    Cons

Enviornment is hostile to employees. Management makes sure you understand that you are on thin ice and replaceable. Dangerous spills have been swept under a rug and not reported to corporate. Holidays are taken away with little notice. Shifts are changed with little notice.

    Advice to Management

Check your ego at the door. Employees all have the same goal to make the company successful. Try building them up to succeed, not break them down.
