I worked at INCAT full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Genuinely want you to succeed at whatever job you are doing. Lots of training and support to help you achieve your goals.

    Cons

I really didn't have too many gripes about Incat. If I was to get real nit picky I might say that the golf outting ran out of beer a few times.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. The business developers seemed to be doing a great job of rooting out new business and renewing contracts to keep people gainfully employed.

    Pros

The company offers competitive compensation, good benefits and flexibility when required. Account management seems decentralized - which I thought was a good thing, but see the related cons as well.

    Cons

I suppose the company needs better account management and better strategic planning. Decentralization and lack of proper oversight has led to haphazard practices, inability to match talent and opportunities efficiently... It did not handle the current downturn well at all - too many people let go.

    Advice to Management

    see above

  5. "Well known and respected but could become great company for customers and employees."

    Pros

Name recognition as they are well respected for knowledge and expertise in the MCAD domain. Being part of the Tata family and presence in world markets is a plus but unfortunately this doesn't imply worker mobility.

    Cons

Does not take knowledge worker development very seriously (i.e. no concerted effort to augment internal group learning and external skills building). Hazy career path within the company although there seems to be a lot of seniors in the company.

Information doesn't flow through on some important matters such as organizational changes. Informal communication left to its own devices (user email, telephone) and low sharing.

    Advice to Management

To provide the means to fulfill the company's ambitions to be the next IBM or so.

    Cons

Not dinamic enough. Lack of motivated staff.
