    Pros

    Cons

Tends to be just another consulting company..

    Advice to Management

Need to be more hungry - take some risks!

    Pros

Owners really want their people to be involved. The company tries to be good for employees, but their is a lot to be desired. Initially, the company presents itself as an employee based company, but all decisions come from the two owners. They present a plan for upward mobility.

    Cons

Owners do not know the real corporate climate with their managers and employees. Project managers are not real PMs but task managers and they keep interjecting their personal agendas on the government client. Which leads to a lot of busy work, but nothing substantial. No formal processes for management. Don't look for earth shattering work here. Upward mobility is limited even with the plan.

I have been working at INTEGRITYOne Partners full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

IOP has great people. Smart, dependable teams who support each other through thick and thin. The philanthropic and community outreach efforts are awesome and it is great to work at a company who gives back to the community. Training internal and external, corporate events (sports games, company picnic, holiday party, rooftop HHs, 4th of July, Ocktoberfest, golf, bowling, Marathons and 5Ks, etc...). Work/Life balance is better here than any other place I've worked.

    Cons

Top heavy. 4 Partners who are actually program managers, several Directors who are actually project managers and 2 owners. There is only one female in a Director/Leadership positions and while she is great and a couple others are also really good, the rest of the Leadership is average overall and are not great at communication or transparency. Promotions are often in title only as the employees who are a consultant one day and a manager the next are still doing the exact same work.

    Advice to Management

Promote only when you have an actual opening for he job. Leadership needs to do a better job communicating with the teams and providing transparency into the decisions. Too many partners for such a small firm...I feel like that is money they could better spend on developing employees and business development.

    Pros

Flexibility (if not on-site at client position); Company Social Events; Relatively Easy-going Employees; Very easy to stand out as most employees are career middle-management types or strict 9-5ers; Can be an easy 1-2 year stepping stone for entry or junior level professionals; Very Nice Offices; Employs a few extremely high quality directors

    Cons

Immediately pigeon-holed upon hire; Most positions are staff augmentation in nature; Body-shop business model; Under the market average pay for positions below management level; Rampant Cronyism and clique-ish work culture; Lack of specialization or expertise in business offerings (i.e. the company only provides the same exact services as every other general IT consulting firm); Very high staff turnover (below management level) due to regular layoffs

    Advice to Management

Develop some sort of expertise and specialized business offerings; Dump the body-shop business model; Greater focus to employee career development; Greater checks and balances in staff performance reviews

    Pros

Working at IOP doesn't feel like work because the work that we do is enjoyable. These are some of the best people to work for/with. Very flexible schedule; can work from home and attend all of my child's events without interruption. They invest as much into your career development as you do. They support individual growth; providing training and professional development courses. They provide plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and technologies to keep you challenged and engaged while providing excellent service to clients. Love the benefits package, free health care for employee and very reasonable cost for entire family. This is a company where employees can impact the decision making process and be actively involved in shaping the future of the firm. An employee's idea or opinion is valuable to upper management and often use employees' suggestions to make improvements. Best company to work for, period!

    Cons

2 Office locations: DC and Reston - only a Con if you live near one location and have to go to the other, but overall I have no complaints about IOP.

    Advice to Management

Please continue providing the work environment that you've created. You are some of the best managers I've had the pleasure to work for.

    Pros

The people who work here are talented and smart. The organization is small but has many perks you would find at larger companies like Profit Sharing. The advancement opportunities are great for people who want to work hard.

    Cons

We are geographically disbursed through out the DC metro area so you can sometimes feel isolated. The benefits aren't as strong as some of the bigger consulting firms.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within as often as you can and keep striving towards a performance culture - where hard work and success is rewarded.
