      Great team culture and flexibility, but limited growth and recognition for contractors

      Pros

      Respectful, friendly team with a genuinely healthy culture. Flexible schedule and managers are understanding about personal needs. Good working relationships and low toxicity. Clear communication within the team and a cooperative day-to-day workflow. Autonomy to get work done without excessive micromanagement. Colleagues are approachable and willing to help when blockers come up.

      Cons

      No raises or promotions in 3 years as a subcontractor. Contributions feel overlooked; limited recognition and visibility. Improvement/modernization ideas rarely get traction or priority. Little clarity on how contractors can evolve, expand scope, or move into permanent roles.
