    I worked at Inovar

    Pros

    No pros. None. At. All.

    Cons

Lack of communication from upper management and co-workers. Upper mngmt blows smoke up our butts instead of being honest to their employees. Keeping horrible workers and making good workers do twice the work. Unorganized. Rules constantly changing. No consistency on procedures. Only butt kissers get good raises. Mandatory overtime nearly every weekend despite being told it wouldn't be like that after company restructuring....

    Advice to Management

No advice to give to mngmnt. They don't care about the employees only how much money they will make off overworking their employees.

I worked at Inovar full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Easy work for decent pay, and benefits are are good.

    Cons

A lot of hard workers come and go, often felt like the high school environment. Friendship with someone in a leadership role is the most efficient way to move up.

    Advice to Management

The buddy buddy system can be useful as it is repetitive work and boring at times, valuable time is spent not working and socializing to either pass the time or in attempt to gain promotions and raises through friendships. Actions speak louder than words in my opinion management needs to look with their eyes to see what employee's deserve more responsibilities.

    I worked at Inovar full-time

    Pros

They like to keep all of their employees updated on the big picture. Their number one goal is quality over quantity. There is no pressure to rush, and if the work atmosphere is friendly. If you don't understand something you can always ask.

    Cons

Their software system is hot garbage. I can only assume it was largely written by one or two people. It's riddled with bugs, and slows to a crawl often.

    Advice to Management

For the most part they're doing good. They could work on their training though. Some people are better at teaching than others, but you learn from whoever's available at the time.

    Pros

The owner, Blake really care about his employees

    Cons

Too many layoffs and furloughs. Went from 6 million high month to layoffs. Long term employment not guaranteed. Middle management , cft process, inhib any real change or flexibility.

    Advice to Management

Get ride of cft process and find better computer programmer's.

    I worked at Inovar full-time

    Pros

The experience you'll receive working with circuit boards can be technical and fun depending on the position. Some of the technician, circuit board rework, quality inspector and supervisor positions can actually pay fairly well. The potential to get a 14$ an hour or greater position at Inovar is not unrealistic if you perform well. One of the best things about Inovar is how great the professional staff is in their "customer...

    Cons

Inovar has a very serious layoff problem. The layoff frequency is around a year and a half. Some years it will be almost exclusively the professional and office staff that get laid off with a frantic attempt to restructure responsibilities inside their customer focus teams. And sometimes the layoff will be only production and hourly employees. Employee moral tanks really bad after layoffs and the senior staff will scramble...

    Advice to Management

I understand that at some level the current president, Craig Rupp, is trying to make Inovar an employer of choice in the Logan area; however, the actions of the senior staff show that they are either too lazy or truly don't care about improving job security or work-life quality. The video ad that was created and placed in movie theaters to get Inovar's name recognized in Cache Valley was an embarrassment. There was...

I worked at Inovar for more than 5 years

    Pros

domestic, hi-tech, clean, moral, smart work rather than hard work

    Cons

non competitive compensation, latest senior management looking to build/add to portfolio rather than be involved with the business and employees. Multiple layoffs claimed to be due to economy, but positions re-filled with 1-2 weeks later.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to move up the ladders and rather focus on the business and its employees, because the work is good and the people are even better!
