    I worked at Integra full-time

    Pros

Easy to get hired. I worked there for three years. Staff is friendly, though everyone keeps their head down, afraid to speak out in case they are next.

    Cons

Easy to get laid off. Company 'changed directions' often and laid off at least a dozen people in the three years I worked there. Management generally acts out of fear.

    Advice to Management

Your staff won't have to furtively scurry about afraid to get fired, if they thought you cared about them.

I have been working at Integra full-time

    Pros

Great Benefits. Excellent work/life balance. They are poised for huge growth.

    Cons

Corporate leadership doesn't know how to move the company into a real corporation. You'll be as happy as your boss. No HR. They have no real company vibe or atmosphere. You're not really happy to be here because their is no corporate culture.

    Advice to Management

Take time to think. Have something fun to do once in awhile. More direction as to what the company stands for.

I worked at Integra full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Location location location

Integra is a close knit family type company

    Cons

Recently bought out by JM Smith, a drug company, and company culture has suffered

    Advice to Management

Keep the small feel, don't let JM Smith change the culture

I have been working at Integra full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Integra is the clear industry leader in the markets that it serves. It pays well, has excellent benefits and invests in the advancement of its employees. Employees have a say in nearly everything that happens and with the company's rapid growth there are many opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

You will be working with a group of top-notch people that work hard. Not a place for someone who doesn't want to work hard or who are not technically competent.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, we are depending on you.

I have been working at Integra full-time

    Pros

Relaxed environment. Rapid growth. Facility expansion. Large dual Dell monitors. Supervisors who take the time to make sure you understand what you are being trained on. Great place to work and learn.

    Cons

No break room, for now(The new building will have one). No pets allowed. A lot of meetings. Overall none of these can compare to the pros of working here.

I have been working at Integra full-time

    Pros

Pay is competitive with Seattle; generous profit sharing; the benefits are decent with the new parent company (but were gallingly bad before),; company at least pays lip service to professional skills development; the senior engineers are very skilled; mostly 40 hour work week; reasonably flexible work schedule with core hours; company is poised for serious growth within a massive growth industry; Anacortes is a beautiful small city.

    Cons

Micromanagement to a nauseating, condescending degree without actually being helpful; most leads and the head of development think they are being Socratic, but are actually just obscure; open, noisy, distracting work environment, no walls go to the ceiling so every conversation in the kitchen and dev floor spills over the entire environment; leads and head of development will just walk up to your desk for any old conversational topic, despite every appropriate communication tool available; entrenched senior devs, while they might be willing to help, they really have no clue on mentorship or how to bootstrap devs and share knowledge; endless limited hard drive space issues; endless network problems; crappy monitors with a steadfast refusal to upgrade; zero telecommuting at all (unless of course you want to work after hours); horrific ergonomics, unless you want to pay for all your own improvements; no breakroom AT ALL, tiny "kitchen"; teetotaling workplace.

    Advice to Management

Where does one start? Stop interrupting devs Maybe read some of those studies about what happens when you interrupt developers. If someone wants to micromanage, then be helpful. Send the senior engineers to teaching classes to learn how to mentor. Understand that some people might not have your long experience with the products. Get a proper break room. Allow telecommuting. Stop being such tightwads about things like hard drive storage and monitors.

    Pros

This is a very good company to work off.

    Cons

When there is a reorganization, you can't use your current employer just verification of employment
