Ok for LPNs, but not RNs
Jan 20, 2021 - Registered Nurse, BSN in Fort Lauderdale, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The family, patients, and co-workers
Cons
The pay is not good for RNs. They keep you at the same rate as an LPN although RNs should be paid more based on education and licensure alone. You will get 16.50 to 18.00 an hour as an RN for home cases. I only stick around per diem now and only accept "high compensation" rates for last minute shifts that are $20-$21. Still low, but hence the per diem basis. It's best to make this as side and main work elsewhere.

Start a career in Communications
Nov 7, 2014 - General Manager in Westfield, INRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The opportunities are endless and it's a good place for the young men and woman to jump start their career in Cable TV. Training available with all the necessary tools for the young men and women to become successful. No lay offs, year round work. You are rewarded for working hard, the effort you put into doing your job will reflect more on your pay check. You're never doing the same thing day in and day out. You get to meet very interesting people to interact with daily. You'll discover new ideas daily and put your mind and body to work each and every day. A challenging career in the right direction, plus it's your chance to meet or set goals for yourself at a young age. Advancement depends on you, you're the boss once you leave the office.
Cons
Cable TV isn't your typical 8 to 5 job. Long hours with 6 to 7 days available to work. You might say they're like the New Poster Boys for working in the heat, rain, sleet and snow. Cable TV never stops and it's a very high demanding job, so you really can't say it's "Con" but people do like some time off.

Can be a fun job with the right client.
