I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Everyone in our office works hard and has a positive attitude. I enjoy coming to work everyday because of the positive culture we have here. -We just recently moved to a new, larger office space which came with many upgrades such as an in-office dishwasher and many floor to ceiling windows. It's a beautiful space! -Everyone in the company has the ability to influence changes in the way we do things day-to-day, and there's a general culture of striving for more efficiency and always looking to improve. -Management provides office comforts within reason, and we are able to select snacks of choice to keep the kitchen stocked with which is a definite perk. -The most enjoyable part of the job are the people I work with (both in our local office as well as corporate and remote offices). - I also really enjoy supporting the mission and values of Iris Telehealth -- we provide high quality mental health services in areas that don't normally get access to such providers.

    Cons

-We don't currently have a dedicated water cooler, which I don't love, but there is a drinking fountain right outside the office we can use as an option. -Most challenging part of the job is many of my personal team members are located in the corporate office and I don't get to see and work with all of them in person as often as I would like

I worked at Iris Telehealth part-time for more than a year

    Pros

This is a review you've been looking for: a former employee! And I'll still tell you that Iris is a great company! I simply got an offer elsewhere (inpatient care) that was too good to refuse. I think it's important to hear from providers who left to know that Iris continues to be be tops in the are of telepsychiatry in my opinion. Great support with no delay. If you want to do tele psychiatry do it with them.

    Cons

I was working 32 hours a week for them. Make sure you have some real time outlets when you're not working. No cons about Iris.

I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Amazing organization with an inspiring mission. Iris Telehealth's passion, values, and goals pulled me in from the beginning. I found Iris Telehealth on Indeed.com, browsed their website, and was immediately intrigued. With my background in psychology and human resources, I had finally found an organization that spoke to me and felt like the perfect fit. I was able to obtain a job in recruiting, where I can combine my knowledge of HR with my background in psychology. I love that I am part of an organization that allows me to help others, and be part of the mission to provide mental health services in rural areas. It's a mission that is very important and personal to me, as I am passionate about mental health. Iris Telehealth has professional and inspiring leadership. They are always available to answer questions and provide new challenges and opportunities. You can tell that they respect and value all of their employees for their strengths and abilities. The leadership team is composed of well-rounded individuals with a sense of humor. Everyone I have met at Iris is friendly, and we all work well together. The technology at Iris is very up-to-date and high functioning. The IT team is always available to help with any issues that arise (although things run so well, I haven't yet had to reach out). When I arrived at my new desk, I was impressed that I had two brand-new monitors with the latest up-to-date software. It's always better to work with technology that is up-to-date in order to be efficient. Iris Telehealth also values employee engagement and connections with others. I am in the Kansas City office, and I have been able to meet people in Austin using our video chat software. It's great to be connected to other people in the company using this technology! It's an awesome way to keep our remote employees engaged and connected with the company as well. Iris also has company events - such as catered dinners, occasional lunches, and parties throughout the year. I enjoy socializing, so it's a great benefit for me. Benefits - I haven't been with a company that offers so many and ones so thorough as Iris. They offer healthcare (including dental and vision), life insurance, 401k, five weeks of PTO (most places offer two weeks standard), as well as snacks that you can select each week/month. I'm always cold, and my supervisor was nice enough to provide a space heater for under my desk. He has also brought me Starbucks a couple of times! It's always great to have a supervisor who cares about your well-being and comfort. Our Kansas City office is also in a prime location in Overland Park, KS, which is an added benefit. We have access to great restaurants, fitness centers, coffee shops, multiple post offices, and shopping centers. Lunch breaks are better when you're close enough to exciting and productive places. We also have an excellent cleaning staff at this office building. Bathrooms are always clean and well-stocked, and the cleaning crew vacuums our office a couple of times a week and takes out our trash daily. Parking is also amazing, as I am able to park close to the entrance of the building each morning. The parking lot is never completely full, so if you go out to lunch and come back, there are never any issues finding a place. I'm looking forward to learning more about the company and getting more involved in my current position, since I am still new to the company. I'm very excited to be here and want to do as much as I can to accomplish the company's mission and get things done.

    Cons

It's a new company, so there are still some things that need to be organized and completed more efficiently. The Kansas City office is growing and still in the process of being set up. There are many supplies and shelving that we lack, and need to order. Aesthetically, the office is modest and could use more decorations and furniture to liven it up. Our supplies and materials could use more organization once we purchase more shelves and furniture. With a new company, it's a process to learn newly created roles and establish a sense of productivity and efficiency. Training could use some improvement for corporate employees such as myself. I feel it would be useful to have an employee handbook with information about Iris and general guidelines/good things to know.

I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is very professional and has been great to work with. You are treated with respect and are made to feel like part of the team. If you ever need anything at all, there are multiple people there to help. When getting licensed in a new state, Iris makes sure the process is as quick and pain-free as possible. I have recommended Iris to many colleagues.

    Cons

It may take some time to get licensed in a new state

I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Making a great working environment is a priority. I don't mean sleep chambers, I mean making sure you have the tools you need, time and opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Regular growing pains - getting too big for the space and some of the systems, but it is being addressed

I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time for more than a year

    Pros

At Iris we focus every day on helping provide access to behavioral health services that people need so desperately. It feels really good to work towards something that helps so many. The culture here is incredible, our CEO is a psychiatrist/businessman/comedian and most importantly, genuine person. Every person who works here is incredibly special, and we all work really hard to keep our reputation as the most responsive, fastest growing, and best quality telepsychiatry company around. There is tons of room for growth here, if you are passionate about access to behavioral healthcare, and you are a hard worker, you are able to explore your strengths and contribute to many areas within the organization.

    Cons

This is a startup environment, your job description is not rigid. Some days I go from taking out the trash 1 min to speaking in front of a board room of C-level execs over video conference. If you are not hard-working, down to earth, and willing to do what it takes to make this company even better - then it may not be the place for you.

I have been working at Iris Telehealth part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Genuinely supportive management and support staff. I've worked with Iris over a year now as an outpatient clinic psychiatrist and both the clinical and IT support has been consistently five star. I'm still amazed at how fast the IT people respond when the occasional problem arises and they have it fixed and working in no time. I've been working as a contractor so can't comment on benefits but the pay is great.

    Cons

The only cons I can think of are I'd love a bigger computer screen.

I have been working at Iris Telehealth full-time

    Pros

I've enjoyed my time at Iris. I feel like I am constantly growing and making an impact to the team! The CEO and all of Iris Telehealth's employees are open to hearing your ideas and always make an effort to provide constructive feedback.

    Cons

Like any start-up, finding ways to implement processes that are scalable can be a struggle but I believe its definitely a work in progress. Nothing really to complain about!
