Pros

James Instruments has a flex starting time between 7-9:30am; so no need to worry about heavy traffic or bad weather. Health Insurance is provided by the company; for the employee and their family - It is PPO based, and includes Prescriptions & Dental coverage. Employees also have vision benefits. Vacation (or PTO) Time is good also; updated & increased this year. James has a relaxed work environment. The company also normally has 2 events/year; like a game at a Cubs Roof Top or a White Sox Suite, or even dinner at the Chicago City Winery. Bonuses are also provided to employees, and are based on the success of the company throughout the year. Overall... a good company to work for.

Cons

Being a smaller company, it can get busy at times, and OT is required during those periods. There is no Direct Deposit.

Pros

James Instruments has been in the business of manufacturing non-destructive concrete test equipment in the City of Chicago for decades. It is a comfortable work environment that offers flex time, full health and dental insurance and has a generous PTO policy. The employees are multicultural and most of them are long term. The President of the company is committed to growth and cutting edge technology. James Instruments is a great place to bring your technical knowledge and to expand it.

Cons

It is not close to public transportation, but there is parking in the back.
